3 Destinations to Consider When Booking New Zealand Holiday Packages

New Zealand is easy to reach from Australia, providing us with a convenient holiday destination that has lots to offer. From activity breaks to long lazy breaks on a beach, we have no end of destinations to visit.

Here are three of our favourite destinations. Could one or more of these be featured on our next holiday there?

Mount Cook

Also referred to as Aoraki, Mount Cook is the tallest peak in New Zealand. Offering us the chance to explore an alpine wonderland, Aoraki Mount Cook National Park includes 23 peaks, numerous mountain trails, and views over the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. If we are searching for an active holiday, this national park will give us the chance to enjoy just that. Many New Zealand holiday packages include Christchurch, which is to the east of the national park.

Fiordland National Park

The Fiordland National Park features in several New Zealand holiday packages. Covering around 1.2 million hectares, the park offers us the chance to walk, hike, take a boat cruise, go off-road, and enjoy many other activities as well. We can also visit the Glow Worm Caves, head out to Milford Sound, or go fishing.

Waiheke Island

If island life is what we are searching for, Waiheke Island is a popular possibility we could consider. If we book New Zealand holiday packages based in Auckland or the surrounding area, we can reach the island via ferry. It is ideal to visit for a long day out or to have as a base for our holiday. Stunning beaches and beautiful walks are among the things we can look forward to here.

New Zealand, divided into the North and South Islands, is a cornucopia of delights. Any holiday package based on the islands is sure to provide us with a charming holiday to enjoy.
